Galán, Alberto
(1901-77)
   although he appeared in supporting roles as early as 1933, Galán became well-known as a second lead in some classic films of the 1940s, usually cast as "educated" (Distinto amanecer) or "artistic" (María Candelaria) types. Worked on-screen infrequently afterwards, but continued to appear on the stage and in films at least into the '60s.
